Howdy Market-Goers!

Another great week folks, we hope you keep telling your friends. We were happy to have hosted the local non-profit LEAF to talk about Toronto’s urban forests in addition to all our ever-wonderful food folks.

This week we have a musician playing a new kind of music, so make sure to stop by & say hi to Junaed Anwar. Tawse Winery will be selling wine made from fruit harvested from old-growth, low-yield vines and gently handled using natural gravity flow and geothermic energy.

What’s Fresh

P & H Farms will have fava beans for a meat-free protein addition; as well as zucchini & fresh green lettuce for those summer salads!

Beets, sweet corn, cauliflower & red potatoes will fill Trillium Organics farm table – everything you need for a great BBQ. You can round it out with some grass fed & finished beef from Life Spring Beyond Organic Farm.

Get your basil (and make some pesto) as well as rhubarb (for your favourite summer dessert recipe) — all from the Local Gest Farm table.

Organic Vibes will have an abundance of callaloo & kale.

Don’t forget to get some grass fed & finished beef from Life Spring Beyond Organic Farm.

Read here for this weeks vendor profiles  we interviewed Ken Hancherow from Life Spring Beyond Organic who shared his transition from music to farming & his unique farming philosophy. Plus Tanya Spasic from Animal Liberation, who serves those delicious jack fruit tacos, discussed how she started her business & her passion in sharing her food with people in Cabbagetown each week!
